Many people today use the story of Sodom and Gomorrah as "proof" that Gay people are evil and wicked -- as if "Sodom" and "Gay" mean the same thing. But is that really true?
Listen in to our podcast as we talk today about:
- Who were the people of Sodom and Gomorrah?
- What were the sins of the "Cities of the Plains"?
- When did "Sodom" start to mean "homosexuality", in mainstream Christian teaching?
- What really happened in Sodom that last night before God destroyed it?
- Why is a sexual interpretation of what happened in Sodom that night a shallow understanding of the Scripture?
- What did Abraham do that all people of faith should be doing, in dealing with people who choose evil?
- Why does God have to destroy people sometimes, and why?
- What is the real message of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, for ALL people?
