GBC Podcast 003 | "And such were some of you..." A study of 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 -- and beyond

Many people, of course, quote 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 to "prove" that homosexual (and sometimes transgender) people won't go to heaven.

Would you be surprised (or know others who'd be surprised) to learn that the Scripture used to "prove" those things is actually counterfeit -- that God's Scripture, as He originally gave it to us, doesn't say those things at all?

Most people today seem content to live with counterfeit Scripture -- words that have come from the sinful hearts of other human beings, or the mouth of the devil himself. It's part of our sinful nature that goes all the way back to Adam and Eve, to accept someone else's word, instead of checking things out for ourselves.

The Bible says we can -- and should -- do better than that!

Our podcast today talks about:
  • Why we -- and all people -- should be rejecting counterfeit Scripture
  • What's wrong with traditional translations of 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 -- and what God is really saying there through Paul
  • What God thinks of people who wrongly translate the Bible
  • What the ancient pagan religions and their "fertility cults" were about
  • When God means Scripture for one people or time, but not another
  • and more!

GBC Podcast 002 | "For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie..." A study of Romans 1:26-27

I recently heard a straight pentecostal man laugh off Gay Christians, saying, "Don't their Bibles include the book of Romans?"

Of course our Bibles include the book of Romans -- but if we don't learn to understand it in the way that God intended for His people, our understanding of it will be just as spiritually superficial and destructive as this man's.

Personally, I want better than that. And I pray that you do too, because no one is saved and doing God's real work in this world if their heart-understanding of God's message to us isn't in the right place (how many times did Jesus tell us that?)

Go with us in this episode of Gay Bible Christians Audio, as we go line by line through Romans 1. We're going to talk about:
  • Why selecting out a few words or lines of any Scripture, and ignoring a Scripture author's entire train of thought, can leave us believing and teaching the devil's message, instead of God's
  • Who Paul is really talking about in Romans 1, and who should be worried by his message
  • Ungodly judging versus godly discernment
  • What God-rejection really looks like
  • and more!

GBC Podcast 001 | Hoping for Healing, because you are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender?

Being Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender in this world can be very painful and lonely, if we aren't at peace with who we are.

But can we ever find the healing we need to have that peace?

Yes!

In this episode of encouragement from Gay Bible Christians Audio, we talk about our hope for healing, as Gay Christians.

Listen in and understand even more:
  • Why we hurt,
  • What keeps us from feeling at peace,
  • Where we are in our healing process,
  • What things will help us get to the peace with ourselves - and with God - that we need.
