GBC Podcast 003 | "And such were some of you..." A study of 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 -- and beyond

Many people, of course, quote 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 to "prove" that homosexual (and sometimes transgender) people won't go to heaven.

Would you be surprised (or know others who'd be surprised) to learn that the Scripture used to "prove" those things is actually counterfeit -- that God's Scripture, as He originally gave it to us, doesn't say those things at all?

Most people today seem content to live with counterfeit Scripture -- words that have come from the sinful hearts of other human beings, or the mouth of the devil himself. It's part of our sinful nature that goes all the way back to Adam and Eve, to accept someone else's word, instead of checking things out for ourselves.

The Bible says we can -- and should -- do better than that!

Our podcast today talks about:
  • Why we -- and all people -- should be rejecting counterfeit Scripture
  • What's wrong with traditional translations of 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 -- and what God is really saying there through Paul
  • What God thinks of people who wrongly translate the Bible
  • What the ancient pagan religions and their "fertility cults" were about
  • When God means Scripture for one people or time, but not another
  • and more!
